I am proud to say that I have seen someone successfully complete the gallon challenge. Now if you don't know what this is, shame on you. Basically a person has one hour to down a gallon of milk and then once it is all down they have to hold it down for another hour. Sounds simple enough right? Well the only problem is that milk expands in your stomach making it harder to hold down, and you have to use 2% not skim milk. A few of my guy friends have been saying for the past year that they could do the gallon challenge no problem but every time we talked about them actually doing it "something" always came up. But the other night we settled on a date that I would go get them all milk and they would have to do it. Two of them had a system of 3 oz. per minute for the first 30 mins and then so on and so forth. But once we got into about minute 15 they started to look pretty bad. My friend Michael took it outside as not to barf all over his apartment. Our other friend Nathan ended up tossing his cookies around minute 25 in the kitchen, and then the other contender, Miles, held on till around 50 minutes in and then tossed his cookies as well. So Michael held out and got all of the milk down in 58 minutes and 49 seconds and then continued to hold down the milk for another hour. I'm not sure if after we left he puked or not but he was looking pretty good. The other two guys weren't doing so well. But there you have it folks, the gallon challenge can be done. My theory is that you have to have eaten something during the day. Michael had a huge steak dinner before and the other two guys really hadn't eaten. But again that's just my theory. Good times, good friends. Got Milk?
